Every year, with an almost exact punctuality, the swallows come to nest in a small corner of the porch of my house. Perhaps, it is always the same couple, although I do not know, because I do not know their longevity and their customs. The fact is that this year, I have followed its process from the beginning. Ever since they began to build their nest, the laying of their eggs, and their slow but steady growth. I have photographed them feeding their little chicks and I have suffered with them the overwhelming heat we have had this summer. Well, yesterday, they decided that they were old enough to leave their nest, to explore what life is going to bring them, and so beautiful they placed themselves on my fence and delighted me with their first flights. A wonderful experience. Until next year, friends.
